Welcome Bumble Dor!

We have a new addition to the yard—Zoe’s pride and joy — Bumble!

She has settled in well and we are looking forward to the summer season.

Ménage surface replaced

We are all enjoying our fabulous new ménage which was straightened out and topped up with lots more rubber! The horses all wanted a good sniff when they went in, and it is lovely to ride on.

Blue Lights Show 2012

We are looking forward to the Blue Lights Horse Of the Year Show, where the best of Police, Fire and Ambulance service men and women compete for the championship trophy in showjumping and dressage. It is a great family weekend for riders and spectators alike.

31st May 2012 ~ 3rd June 2012. Aintree International Arena.

New Foal on the way!

Finally Black Beauty, our new warmblood mare has been scanned in foal and we can expect to see a new addition to the herd in July 2012! The sire is Wolkenderry, a beautiful 6 year old Hanovarian stallion: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wolkenderry/362502007062?sk=info

Goodbye Angel !

August 2011

After enjoying Angel for three years she has found a new home with Lyndsey in Bury, where she is being given the same diva treatment as she received here — she is very happy! We look forward to seeing her in the New Year.

New girl Tiger Lilly

A huge welcome to Tiger Lilly! It was well worth the wait and the long journey all the way from Plymouth! Lilly is a beautiful skewbald coloured, 2yrs old and already qualified for the Royal London and Peterborough. Lilly joined us in May and has settled in very quickly. We hope she continues her early success!

Greasby Show, July 2011

On The Bit has sponsored two classes at the 2011 Greasby Show - the Junior Intermediate Showjumping and the Small Mountain & Moorland Ridden. This year’s show is taking place at Greasby Ponds Farm on 9th and 10th July 2011. It is lots of fun and there are prizes to be won!

Our two Connemara’s Tig and Flye are coming on nicely and will be ready for their first shows in the springtime.

Birthdays

Up and coming rider Daisy celebrated her 1st birthday on 12th March!

Thank you so much to everybody who came to her birthday party at the yard. It made the occasion very special indeed and one to remember. Thank you too for all of Daisy’s lovely gifts.

Happy Birthday to the boys! Jilly’s two foals are soon to have birthdays! Hector will be 2 yrs old on 25th May and Stan will be 1 yr old on 29th May.
